Modern Slavery Act Statement

The Liberty Guild is committed to ensuring good corporate governance and ethical business practices. This statement sets out The Liberty Guild’s approach to protecting against slavery and human trafficking in its supply chain and is made in accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

Our business

The Liberty Guild UK is a curated platform of communication practitioners whom work together to deliver creative solutions for our clients. We work with clients and suppliers across around the world.

Our supply chain

The types of suppliers that we work with include those which directly support the services we provide to clients, such as production, research and media agencies. It also includes those suppliers which support our business operations, such as professional services (including legal, tax, banking and insurance).

Our compliance steps

Since the introduction of the Act, The Liberty Guild has put in place structures to ensure both its and its suppliers’ compliance with the Act, including:

- Assessing our supply chain for risk of slavery or human trafficking.

- We comply with all of our employment law and regulatory obligations in the UK. We have a process by which whistle-blowers can raise concerns in a confidential and protected environment and we will investigate allegations of wrongdoing.

Risk assessment

Taking into account the type of business that we conduct and the type of suppliers that we work with, The Liberty Guild has assessed that its exposure to slavery and human trafficking is very low risk, both within its own business and within its supply chain.

Where we identify potential risk within our supply chain, we will carry out a due diligence exercise of our suppliers as part of our procurement process, to mitigate the risks.

Supplier adherence to our values

Our remit is to ensure that all of our business partners comply with the high standards which we set for ourselves and ensure that their own organisations and supply teams are free from slavery and human trafficking.

The team will seek to monitor any risk areas and encourage anyone to report any concerns regarding supplier activities.

Training

To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our supply chains and our business, we provide our employees workers with a copy of this modern slavery statement and encourage them to report any concerns to their manager.

Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking

We use the following key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure how effective we have been to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in any part of our business or supply chains:

- Information provided from preferred suppliers.

- Any concerns raised by our employees or workers.

Review

We will continue to regularly review our approach to supply chain due diligence to ensure we have adequate structures, policies and training in place to monitor and mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking in connection with our business. Any updates will be reflected in future statements.
